Team 17 and Ghost Town Games have said that it’s working on an update to fix the performance issues in Overcooked: Special Edition on the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version was released last week, but it wasn’t the smoothest of launches, with many players complaining about a poor frame rate and troublesome HD rumble issues.

The Unity developed title has been criticised for its poor Switch performance by a couple of media outlets, with Digital Foundry citing ‘serious performance problems’ and an ‘inconsistent frame-rate’. It’s fair to note that these issues did not seem to be affecting the game on other platforms.

The game’s developers Ghost Town Games have commented on the issues, saying that it’s aware of the problems that have affected the game and a fix is in the works.

A statement put out by the team read, ‘We’re currently working on an update to improve the frame rate issues folks have been seeing and hoping to roll out any changes as soon as we’re able to’.

Overcooked is out now for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
