According to mobile analytics website Mobclix, gaming accounts for just under a quarter of all applications available on the App Store.
At the time of writing there are 6,276 games available for your iPhone/iPod, with 1,516 of these available for free. Of all the games, puzzlers are most prolific, accounting for 17.9 per cent. Arcade and Action titles each take around an 11 per cent share.
