Asylum-based scarefest Outlast is now available on Xbox One, Microsoft has announced via Major Nelson.

Already available on PC and PS4, Outlast is set inside Mount Massive Asylum, an abandoned home for the mentally ill. This facility has recently been re-opened by the secretive Research and Charity branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation.

Acting on a tip journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility to discover all manner of horrors.

Released under the ID@Xbox program, Outlast could be yet another sign that Microsoft has dropped or eased off from its parity release clause.
