Ubisoft has confirmed that its gorgeous looking side-scrolling action title Outland will be released on April 27 for XBLA and PSN.

The game mixes side-scrolling shooting with platforming. There’s also a hint of Ikaruga-like gameplay, with the main character able to absorb projectiles matching in colour. In addition to a campaign there will be an Arcade mode and a set of co-op challenges.

Outland will cost £7.99 on PSN and 800 MS Points on XBLA. Check the launch trailer here.
