Sony and Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive action title Uncharted 2 sold over half a million copies in October, making it the best-selling single format title in the period.

According to the NPD Group, in the month of October (four week period ending October 31), Uncharted 2 sold 537,000 units.

The top-selling title across all platforms was 2K’s NBA 2K10 with 575,000 units – 311,000 on Xbox 360 – representing a 60 per cent increase over launch sales of NBA 2K9.

Wii Fit Plus sold 441,000 units, Borderlands on Xbox 360 managed an impressive 418,000 units and Wii Sports Resort 314,000 units.

Halo 3: ODST slumped dramatically, down from 1.52 million units to 271,000 units. But it still outsold the well reviewed Forza Motorsport 3, which debuted with a lacklustre 175,000 units.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days charted at number nine with 169,000 units, and FIFA 10 squeezed its way into the top 10 with 156,000 units on Xbox 360.
