Hideo Kojima has once again expressed an interest in creating Zone of the Enders 3, but is unable to do so because the team simply isn’t large enough to take on the project.

“We want to make that game as well, the only thing is that we don’t have staff who are able to work on that game,” Kojima told GamerFitNation at the VGAs.

“We have an environment where we could work on it using the Fox Engine. If we had staff available to work on that game, we would like to.”

Fox Engine is Kojima Productions’ internal game engine detailed back at E3 and has been in development since Metal Gear Solid 4 was completed in 2008.

Expect more from Kojima and Fox Engine at E3 2012.
