Nordic Games has acquired the rights to the Desperados and Silver IPs from Atari for an undisclosed sum.

The publisher hasn’t yet revealed its plans for either IP, but “openly invites” fans of both series to visit its forums to “discuss how these titles should be moving forward”.

Desperados is a top-down strategy series similar to Eidos’ hit-90s series Commandos, while Silver is an action-RPG franchise last seen in 1999.

The acquisition follows Nordic’s purchase of a range of THQ properties in April.
