Speaking at GDC, Noby Noby Boy creator Keita Takahashi revealed that the peculiar downloadable title was originally intended for release on Xbox 360.
An early prototype of the Xbox 360 version was shown, which while crude looking did feature many of the elements that feature in the released PSN version. Takahashi revealed that the reason for the move to PS3 was not anything to do with money changing hands or the Xbox 360’s lagging sales in Japan, but the layout of the Xbox 360 controller’s analogue sticks.
Takahashi said that the horizontal layout of the sticks on the PS3 controller was much more suited to Noby Noby Boy.
