There are no plans to increase the cost of Xbox One titles compared to current Xbox 360 games, Microsoft has told Polygon.

“I can confirm that Microsoft Studios games on Xbox One will be $59.99,” said a Microsoft US rep.

If this applies to the UK we should see first-party game pricing at under £50.

Third-parties are yet to divulge Xbox One game pricing. Sony too is keeping stum over its PS4 game pricing.

There’s little chance we’ll see retailers undercutting the RRP, so expect to pay £49.99 for Microsoft published Xbox One titles. Game.co.uk is asking £54.99 for a number of Xbox One titles from EA, such as FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4.
