In its Q1 2008 financial report Take Two has confirmed that it plans to release Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content for Xbox 360 during both fiscal 2008 and fiscal 2009.
This echoes statements from the publisher late in 2007 following the publication of its Q4 2007 results. Back then internet forums went into overdrive, assuming the fiscal 2009 content was new to what had previously been announced.
Strangely a similar thing is happening now, despite confirmation from Rockstar last year that the fiscal 2009 content is actually just the second of the two previously announced episodic content packs for Xbox 360.
With Take Two’s fiscal 2009 beginning on November 1, 2008 there’s still a chance we’ll see the second of the two GTA 4 episodes this calendar year.
