Speaking to Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal back in October, Fils-Aime addressed concerns over a game drought similar to that which damaged the success of the GameCube. Along with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Fils-Aime cited Metroid Prime 3 for release “early in 2007” and Mario Galaxy, which would arrive in 2007, as proof that there would be no drought.

If yesterday’s rumour that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 will not be released until Christmas 2007 turns out to be true, Fils-Aime could be left looking rather sheepish.
