Since its European release in October 2005, Nintendogs has achieved sales of more than 2.5 million, with worldwide sales up at around 6 million. On June 16 Nintendo is releasing the Dalmatian & Friends Edition, which offers fans of the loveable series the chance to own the previously hard to unlock Dalmatian puppy.

The Dalmatian will be one of six puppies available to choose from at the beginning of the game, along with the most popular dogs from the Dachshund, Labrador and Chihuahua editions. A further 14 puppies will also be available once unlocked. It’s worth noting that all the content in the Dalmatian Edition is available in previous versions of the game; you are just paying for the privilege of owning the Dalmatian puppy from the off.

Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends is set to come bounding into your arms on June 16, at around £29.99.
