Nintendo of America has today announced the creation of MyWiiStory.com, an all-new website on which Wii owners can log on and share their Wii experiences.

Nintendo says the website comes in response to the growing Wii phenomenon and now wants Wii owners and their friends and family to post real-life anecdotes about the way the Wii has changed their social dynamic or their opinions on gaming.

Everyone’s a gamer and every gamer has a Wii story to share,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “We want all Wii owners to go to MyWiiStory.com to further demonstrate the extent to which we have brought new players into the world of video games.

Nintendo has also offered a sample of some of the stories that will be found on MyWiiStory.com. These include a woman who has dinner parties that end with everyone playing Wii, a mum who is having 15 of her friends over for a Wii party, a guy diagnosed with bone cancer who can now bowl again and a woman who uses the Wii to exercise indoors.

The website isn’t currently open, merely stating that it’s coming soon.
