You can expect to get around three hours of real world battery life from the Nintendo Switch when solidly playing launch title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, reports GameSpot.

Armed with several Switch units, GameSpot tested two scenarios from the starting point of a full charge.

  • Default screen brightness provided three hours and three minutes of Zelda gaming.
  • Full screen brightness, but with airplane mode enabled, offered two hours and 50 minutes.

Nintendo’s guidance is for around three hours when playing Zelda.

Getting back in the game needn’t take all day either, with approximately half a charge taking one hour. Furthermore, the Switch supports charging via external battery packs, meaning you could connect one up for even more gaming on the go.

Switch launches next week on March 3.
