Nintendo has a reputation for treating European gamers badly and it's no more apparent than with the latest Nintendo DS release schedule. Between now and the end of the year DS owners have only four first-party titles spend their money on: Sudoku Master, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Tenchu Dark Secret, and Yoshi's Island DS.

Out of that bunch, Yoshi's Island is perhaps the only game to really look forward to, with Blue Team Rescue receiving average reviews at best. The New Year looks a lot brighter, even if lots of the titles are arriving in Europe in some cases over seven months after their North American release.

Star Fox Command arrives on January 26, some five months later than the North American release; and Action Loop (Magnetica in the US) arrives on the same day, but over seven months after its North American release. Other titles coming in Q1 2007 that are out now in North America or will be soon include Harvest Moon DS, Mario Slam Basketball, Magical Starsign, Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Pokémon Ranger, and Children of Mana.

In fact, the only titles Europe looks to be getting at around the same time as in North America are Diddy Kong Racing DS, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All. We can only hope this poor treatment of Europe doesn't continue with the Wii.
