Tecmo Koei has today announced that Ninja Gaiden 3 – the latest instalment in the long-running action series – will be fully compatible with PlayStation Move, allowing players to control Ryu using motion alone.

“Ninja Gaiden 3 is all about slicing and chopping through flesh and bone and PlayStation Move brings players even closer to the game’s protagonist Ryu Hayabusa,” commented Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi.

Quite how PlayStation Move support will be integrated into the lightning-fast action title has yet to be revealed, but Tecmo Koei did confirm that Ninja Gaiden 3 will be compatible with all Move-based peripherals, and that it will support multiplayer functionality for up to eight players online.

Ninja Gaiden 3 is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
