Microsoft has announced that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be released worldwide in June 2008, exclusively for Xbox 360.

The bloody sequel has been developed from the ground up for the Xbox 360 by Team Ninja and legendary game developer Tomonobu Itagaki.

Gamers must guide Ryu Hayabusa on a mission to avenge his clan and prevent the destruction of the human race. The game will feature a new gameplay engine, new auto-health generation, a host of new enemies and assortment of ninja weaponry.

Perhaps because of the success of the theatre mode in Halo 3, Ninja Gaiden 2 will also offer gamers the ability to record Ryu’s combat exploits as movie clips. The best Ninja Gaiden 2 players will be able to upload clips to Xbox LIVE for everyone to view.

Along with the announcement Microsoft has also released a batch of new screens which you can find over in the screen shot gallery.
