Kotaku reports that the one time Xbox 360 exclusive action title, Ninja Gaiden 2, is being ported to the PlayStation 3.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma is being developed by Tecmo’s Team Ninja, with Yosuke Hayashi, director of the first Sigma, once again in charge. While details are scarce, it has been confirmed that the remake will offer PSN support and feature new content not found in the original Xbox 360 game. This new content will include a new playable character: Dead or Alive’s Ninjutsu expert Ayane.

Development of the game is said to be at around the half-way stage.
