Indie darling and all-around brilliant adventure romp Night in the Woods is being released on Switch early next month, Infinite Fall and Finji have announced. The game will come packaged with the Weird Autumn and Solstice episodes when it hits Nintendo’s hybrid powerhouse on February 1.

Night in the Woods for Switch is currently pegged at $19.99 on Nintendo of America’s official website, so presumably it’ll retail for around £15.99 in the UK, though that’s yet to be confirmed. We’ll keep you posted.

Those of you who have not yet sampled the delights of Infinite Fall’s oddball adventure are in for a treat, especially if you’re a fan of anthropomorphic cats, foxes, and other fuzzy woodland animals (there’s also a chain-smoking alligator in the mix, so go figure, but she’s pretty cool).

Night in the Woods focuses on college dropout Mae Borowski, who returns home to Possum Springs to catch up with her old chums and resume her humdrum life. However, there’s a bad vibe about the place, and Mae soon finds herself drawn to the nearby woods, where she is propelled on a new adventure that sees her interacting with dozens of quirky characters in a coming-of-age tale with a twist.

‘Break stuff, play bass, hang out, walk on powerlines, jump between roofs, and discover strange and amazing and terrible things you never asked for. Come home and waste your life away in Possum Springs,’ reads the blurb.
