A beta test for NHL 17 will go live on PS4 and Xbox One next month, EA has announced.

The test will let players across North America and Europe try out the game’s EA Sports Hockey League, Hockey Ultimate Team and Online Versus modes, and will run between July 28-August 4. To get involved, all you need to do is sign up on EA’s website.

It isn’t yet clear whether access will be limited, or whether the beta will eventually become open to all users. EA’s website says that those who register for the beta will gain “Early Access”, suggesting it could roll out to all PS4 and Xbox One players at a later date.

“Last year we held our first ever beta and the feedback we received from fans helped us create a great experience at launch,” said lead producer Sean Ramjagsingh. “For NHL 17 we’re opening up access to more players and we can’t wait for them to get their hands on the game.”

NHL 17 launches on PS4 and Xbox One on September 13. For the first look at gameplay, check out the trailer below.
