Ever since its storming release, Marvel Rivals has kept the momentum going with a series of promotional events, that generate excitement among fans looking for new content and a chance to get free items in the game. From the Winter Celebration’s festive modes to the Valentine’s Day Streamer Giveaway, which provided exclusive cosmetic bundles, these events have combined community interaction with enticing rewards to keep players engaged.
Eternal Night Falls, the game’s first season, brought dark-themed skins and new heroes such as Invisible Woman, which added to the excitement. Now, as the game is in Season 1.5, which brought two free skins for players to earn, a new leak has grown the excitement even further, and it is a new upcoming event that promises a free Black Widow skin for everyone.
Marvel Rivals event leak reveals free Black Widow skin for everyone to claim
According to popular Marvel Rivals leaker X0X Leak, a new event is coming to the game from March 7 – April 11, 2025, and is rumored to be a promotional event just like the spring festival. While the leaker did not reveal much details about it, they certainly did reveal the free reward all players will be able to claim.
The reward tied to the event is a free Black Widow Mrs. Barnes costume, which is inspired by Mrs Barnes (1872 Series) comic books and will show the red-room assassin in a western cowboy style look. The leaked costume character model shows Widow wearing a cowboy hat with her signature logo and a red scarf around her neck. The character will also sport a six-shooter pistol in her holster and will be wearing some cowboy gloves of some kind.
While it is still unclear whether the event will be an in-game event or just a free skin code like the current Iron Man Mark 42 costume, it’s highly likely it could be the latter. The free code for the existing Iron Man skin expires on March 5, which means NetEase is all geared up to release the new code for players to claim a free costume.
However, the event’s end date, which is April 11, is also the highly rumored date for the much-awaited Season 2 release that will bring plenty of new characters and an iconic theme straight from the comic books. Check out more info about the next season right here.
