Spiders, an independent development studio founded by the creators of Silverfall and Earth Awakening, have announced the development of Mars, an action RPG for PC, Xbox 360 and PC.

In Mars players take on the role of Seth, an elite solider with a dark past, or Pandora, an ambitious technomancer. Each character is played independently from the other and has different backgrounds, skills and features.

The game promises to blend the sensation of power and rhythmic aerial battle of beat’em ups with the progression, immersion and storyline of RPGs in a dark and dreamlike post apocalyptic universe.

Mars is scheduled for release in 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. See the first screens here and a gameplay trailer from the PS3 version here.
