EA has announced that they will showcase their first next-gen Madden title during a sixty second commercial during the first hour of the NFL Draft broadcast on ESPN. While this doesn’t mean much to us Europeans, the draft is a big thing and is sure to attract a lot of viewers.
“We have had a dedicated team working on next generation Madden NFL football and we cannot wait for Madden fans to get a sneak peek at the experience that awaits them,” said Frank Gibeau, Senior Vice President of North American Marketing for Electronic Arts. “An innovative and unparalleled NFL football experience is what we’ve promised; and that is what we are going to deliver.”
While the platform this next-gen Madden will be running on hasn’t been announced, with the next Xbox due this year, it is easy to assume we will be seeing footage of the game on that platform. For now EA has released a teaser image that certainly wets the appetite. We’ll bring you more news as it breaks.
