Nexon has partnered with EA to bring a free-to-play version of last year’s top multiplayer shooter Titanfall to Asia.

Developed in partnership with Respawn, the game will be available exclusively on PC and promises to bring “an exciting new online experience” to the Asian market.

How it will differ to the original release, however, has yet to be revealed, although players should probably expect to see it integrate some form of microtransactions.

“With its pilot vs. titan gameplay, among other innovations, Titanfall is a uniquely intense game experience,” said Nexon CEO Owen Mahoney. “We look forward to working with the talented teams at Respawn and EA and leveraging Nexon’s free-to-play expertise to deliver a new and engaging online game based on Titanfall to the Asian market.”

A release date for the game has yet to be confirmed.

Titanfall 2, meanwhile, is currently in development for multiple platforms, with a release tipped for EA’s FY 2017.
