Ellen McLain, the opera singer and voice behind Portal’s maniacal GlaDOS, is currently lending her vocal talents to a mysterious new Valve game.
The actress’ husband, John Lowrie (the voice of the sniper in Team Fortress 2), mentioned in a Tweet that “Ellen is going in Tuesday for a new game and more Portal work”.
We know already that Portal 2 is due more test chambers in the form of DLC, so ‘more Portal work’ shouldn’t surprise anybody, but this new game? Well, that’s a different story.
Could it be DOTA 2? Which is set for a gamescom reveal in a couple of weeks?
Or could it be Half-Life related? Ellen lent her voice to the Overwatch in Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two, after all.
Remember that Valve concept art hinting at new IP back in April? Perhaps it’s something to do with that.

Predictions, then? Personally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for something Half-Life related – but that could be wishful thinking.
