It would appear that Crystal Dynamics’ latest entry in the Tomb Raider franchise – not officially announced, but said to be a reboot that will reinvigorate the franchise – will introduce multiplayer, a first for the long-running franchise.
A job posting for a lead designer states: “able to effectively create and lead the multiplayer vision and design effort; must demonstrate advanced knowledge of current multiplayer design and ability to design multiplayer maps from written map designs.”
There’s no mention of Tomb Raider in the job advertisement, but it’s assumed Crystal Dynamics is only working on the one game.
