The US online retailer GameStop has revealed some new information on the upcoming PlayStation 2 port of Resident Evil 4. The game’s listing reveals that the PlayStation 2 version will include all new chapters for the game, where you play five missions as Ada Wong in a section called ‘Separate Ways’. We assume this is included as well as ‘Assignment Ada’ (The small Ada mission in the GameCube version) and not just that mode renamed.

Also as an extra for the PlayStation 2 version are all new unlockable weapons, including the PRL412 laser cannon and the Gunpowder Bow Gun. A Resident Evil game wouldn’t be complete without costume changes and the PS2 version will include unlockable costumes not seen in the GameCube version.

Early reports show that the PlayStation 2 port is looking very promising, with much of the graphical shine that wowed GameCube owners still present on the aging system. Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2 is due for release in Europe on November 4th 2005.
