PUBG. Corp has rolled out a fresh update for chicken dinner-giving shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, adding a series of improvements to the new tropical-flavoured Sanhok map.

The new battlezone hasn't been out that long on PC following extensive testing, although it seems the studio is still working out some of the kinks.

Available now on PUBG's test servers, the update applies various buffs to Sanhok's visuals and layout, including prettier cliffs, rocks, and ruins. In addition, both Sanhok and Miramar have seen objects tweaked so they don't obstruct player navigation.

In particular, the update addresses an exploit in Sanhok that allowed the player to creep underneath the map and attack anyone who passed by. Sneaky.

Outside of these cosmetic changes, PUBG's new patch adds a new lobby, background music, and loading screen to celebrate Berlin's PUBG Global Invitational tournament later this month. Matchmaking also now displays an estimate for wait times for those looking to hop into a game, which is handy.

Finally, PUBG will be getting a fresh limited-time event in the shape of War Mode variants Huntsmen and Marksmen. Here, you'll battle it out on Sanhok as part of ten five-person teams armed with a pistol and shotgun, though you can get your mitts on a sniper rifle or DMR via airdrops if you're lucky.

The new event will kick off on July 6 at around 3.00am BST.

While all this is applicable to the PC version of PUBG, it's worth remembering the shooter is also available on Xbox One, which boasts over eight million players worldwide
