Announced last year, and with further details recently released via Famitsu, the open world Dynasty Warriors 9 has now been confirmed for European release by Koei Tecmo Europe.Â
Dynasty Warriors is a historical epic based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, itself a famous historical novel about ancient China. For the purpose of a video game this has been translated into many hack and slash battles, where you play as historical figures capable of performing extreme heroics. It is immense fun, don’t let anyone tell you differently.Â
In a new development for the series, Dynasty Warriors 9 will feature an open world version of China, with different progression possibilities. There are no dates yet, but here are some galleries of world environments and combat. Good ol’ Guan Yu.Â
