New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition consoles are being delivered to lucky UK fans today after Nintendo’s surprise announcement yesterday, according to user reports.
Select fans were invited to purchase the special edition bundle yesterday ahead of the console’s official UK launch later this year. Nintendo told VideoGamer.com yesterday that it could take up to 7 working days for the consoles to arrive.
Nintendo has yet to announce an official release date for the new console or the larger New Nintendo 3DS XL, but with the console already in some players’ hands don’t expect a general release to be too far away.
The Ambassador Edition bundle features the new handheld along with a pair of exclusive cover plates and charging dock.
The bundle is available to select fans for £179.99, with the standalone console expected to cost around £155.99 when it goes on general sale later this year.
