Given that the film is due next summer, it’s no great surprise that Disney Interactive Studios has announced that the videogame of the same name will hit stores in May 2008.

Prince Caspian is the second instalment in the Chronicles of Narnia and takes place where The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe left off. The game is said to expand on the film and will offer drop-in and drop-out gameplay both offline and online.

The console versions are in development at Traveller’s Tales and will feature 20 playable characters, each with different weapons and abilities.

Disney’s DGamer technology, an online community accessed via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or using a computer, will debut with the DS version. This feature will then be found in every Disney title released for the DS.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is scheduled for release in May, 2008 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PC, PSP and DS.
