CCP has revealed more details about their upcoming MMO, World of Darkness, based on the original pen-and-paper RPG system of the same name.

The game is set to take place on a single server at night. Users will begin as a mortal and then decide whether or not to become a vampire for the duration of the game, Massively reports. Additionally players are in danger of experiencing permadeath, and will not be able to resurrect.

CCP aims to include nudity and gore as a primary feature of the game.

Players can also be flagged for attack by other users as well as NPCs, by losing “humanity points”. It is also possible to become the “Prince” of the city, however there are no details on how these things are achieved.

World of Darkness will include dynamic events and real consequences for player decisions.

The new MMO will be influenced by Vampire: The Masquerade and will focus on political and social interaction, in-game and in real-time ARGs.
