In Marvel Rivals, players are always discovering new ways to conquer the battlefield by using their favorite Marvel heroes’ unique skills. Since the game’s dramatic release, the community has been flooded with tips and tricks, ranging from Scarlet Witch’s backline disruptions to Peni Parker’s web-based control strategies.

Whether it’s Doctor Strange’s portal plays or Hulk’s gap-closing lockdowns, players are coming up with new methods to outwit opponents and turn games around. With the recent Season 1.5 update that included the Central Park map, a new tech discovery has truly shocked the player community.

The tech here is a game-changing trick using Groot’s abilities that helps you win matches at breakneck speed. Here’s how to do it yourself.

Marvel Rivals Groot trick lets players reach capture point at Central Park in seconds

On Central Park’s capture point, a genius parkour position allows Groot to completely skip the map’s middle area, using his wall-growing powers to jump over barriers and catch enemies by surprise. This new tech, called the “Groot Skip” by fans, allows teams to secure objectives faster, shaving vital seconds off encounters.

In order to do this, you must be on the attacker’s side while playing Convergence in Central Park as Groot. Once you spawn as an attacker, head outside the spawn room, turn right, and go down the stairs as shown in the image above. Then, head near the edge of the cliff on the right side and build a Thornlash Wall horizontally, like you’re building a floor.

Make sure you build the first wall a bit closer to you so you can jump easily. Then, build the second wall platform a little further from you and then jump on it again. Once you’re on the second platform, jump off of it to the concrete platform in front of you. From there, you’ll easily see the Capture Point room and you can head inside it.

Stand in the center to capture the point and build an Ironwood Wall in the front to block the enemy path as you capture the point. Then continue to defend the site and you’ll notice the point has been captured in mere seconds without even confronting an enemy.

However, keep in mind that you’ll need at least two players to act as a distraction to the enemies outdoors while you capture the point inside. For more Marvel Rivals, check out how to get free Units after today’s server outage and how to convert your Chrono Tokens into Units.
