The preview from the French Official Xbox Magazine has been translated by IGN, revealing some new info on Halo 3 multiplayer. Firstly, there are three new multiplayer modes: NinjaBall, in which players will need to hang onto a ball; TankFlag, in which a tank carries a flag; and Elimination, a mode in which a team needs to off five opposing team members. The article also notes that there will be a 16-player limit.
Earlier this week we reported on the new Spartan Laser and Man Cannon, and the article has new info on each of these. The Spartan Laser is powerful enough to rip through vehicles, but this great power does have its trade offs; you’ll need to hold the target in its sights for three seconds before pressing the trigger. Obviously this makes you vulnerable to attack.
The Man Cannon has also been detailed further, revealing that the air streams which can transport players can also be used to send vehicles and explosive barrels all over the map. As previously reported, players in a Man Cannon are open to attack, but can also fire back.
