This autumn just got a whole lot scarier. Sierra Entertainment has announced the release of F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, a standalone PC expansion, and F.E.A.R. Files, a standalone expansion pack for Xbox 360.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate is the second expansion for the PC game and offers an all-new parallel story to the events that occur at Armacham. Players will therefore take on the role of a different F.E.A.R. soldier and will battle new enemies and encounter new challenges. As a standalone expansion, no previous version of the game is required.

F.E.A.R. Files for Xbox 360 is a combination of the newly announced Perseus Mandate expansion and the previously PC only expansion Extraction Point. Extraction Point kicks off where the first F.E.A.R. game ended, with the mission simply to escape with your life. As with the PC expansion, this is a standalone game so does not require the original F.E.A.R. in order to work.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate and F.E.A.R. Files are scheduled for release in the autumn.
