The official website of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 has revealed the first info on the game since its reveal just prior to the Tokyo Game Show.

The game finds Miles Edgeworth in prison, not as an inmate, but there to investigate some mysterious goings on in the prison. He’s joined in his investigation by Kay Faraday.

During the course of the investigation, Miles and Kay will run into two new characters: Yumihiko Ichiyanagi and Hakari Mikagami.

Prosecutor Ichiyanagi always wants to be the best and he attempts to solve his cases faster than anyone else. Mikagami is part of an organisation called Prosecutor Investigation Committee. This organisation consists of 11 members, selected to observe the movements of prosecutors, seeking out those who may not be qualified for the job.

Mikagami is at the prison to have the case transferred from Miles to Ichiyanagi.

It sounds like business as usual for Miles, but that doesn’t stop us from being excited about it. The game’s set for a February release in Japan, but is currently unconfirmed for North America and Europe.
