Nintendo hasn’t quite grasped the idea of storing data in the cloud, which means that users picking up a New Nintendo 3DS XL on Friday and wishing to transfer existing 3DS data onto the system are in for a pretty laborious process.
So convoluted is the process that Nintendo has released a video guide to help users on their 16-step journey to a successful transfer. You’ll need both 3DS systems, two memory cards, a PC and a Philips screwdriver.
