Out of nowhere, Nintendo has announced it’s adding to their DS slate of handheld devices with the New 2DS XL.
Launching on July 28, the New 2DS XL will be available in two colours: White + Orange, and Black + Turquoise. Americans will be forking over $149 if they want one on day dot, but no UK/European pricing has been mentioned as of yet.
Even though many are using their Nintendo Switch as a handheld device, Nintendo has sworn to keep supporting the 3DS/2DS, and with this announcement, that’s clear. Plus, Hey! Pikmin, Miitopia, and Dr. Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training all out on July 28 as well, so there’s at least a few new titles on the horizon that you can play on this brand new bit of kit.
