If you were getting concerned about the lack of FPS games, fear ye not: Neversoft is working on one at the moment.

The Guitar Hero developer is currently looking to hire several new staff members with FPS experience, including a network programmer, senior technical artist, and several level designers – seemingly for both single and multiplayer.

Aside from their work on the Guitar Hero series, Neversoft are best known for making the Tony Hawk series up until 2008, when the franchise passed to Robomodo. The studio has never made an FPS game before, although they did make Gun – the western-themed third person shooter, which was relatively well-received.

The jobs were espied by gamerzines on Neversoft’s official recruitment page.

The last Guitar Hero game, Warriors of Rock, received a 7 in our review.
