Adi Shankar, producer on Netflix's Castlevania show, has confirmed that the blood sucking series has been officially greenlit for a third season.

Shankar confirmed the news in a post on Twitter, and comes not long after he teased a new series based on a popular video game series is in the pipeline. It's rumoured to be The Legend of Zelda, but that remains to be seen.

Castlevania has proven a massive success with viewers, and season two of the show kicked off just earlier this week. It's based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and features a number of iconic characters including Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and of course the chief claret sucker himself, Dracula.

Sadly there doesn't seem to be any new Castlevania video games in the pipeline, although you can pick up Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood on PlayStation 4.
