NES Remix 2, which takes segments of classic Nintendo titles and remixes them into challenge-based gameplay, will be released via the Wii U eShop on April 25, Nintendo has announced.

The game features stages from NES games, but adds challenges and modifications to introduce new elements. Some of the games featured include Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure and Metroid.

A new Championship Mode, which has been inspired by the Nintendo World Championship event back in 1990, challenges players to achieve the highest score in three specific games using a multiplier-based scoring system. The mode includes Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario. However, to access the Championship Mode you’ll require save data from the first NES Remix.
