EA has released a new story-focused trailer for Need for Speed Payback, which gives players their first look at the game’s intense story of betrayal and vengeance. The trailer comes in at just over one minute and features a bevy of expensive cars bashing into one another, an exploding house, walking with intent, revving engines, garage meetings and shiny eyes.Â
Need for Speed Payback is set in the underbelly of Fortune Valley, and sees players take on the roles of three very different characters — Tyler the Racer, Mac the Showman, and Jess the Wheelman — who are forced to reform their collective as they seek payback against The House. What follows is a number of street battles, plenty of sparks flying, and at least one turbo-charged vehicle, as the crew try and take down the nefarious cartel that rules over the city’s casinos, criminals and cops.
Payback will feature the addition of ‘derelicts’, run-down classic cars that can be acquired, restored to their former glory, and even enhanced into souped-up muscle cars.Â
Need for Speed Payback will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 10.
