The 3DS might be suffering at retail, causing Nintendo to slash the price of the handheld, but Namco Bandai has seen considerable success thanks to the platform.

In the quarter ending June 2011, Namco Bandai’s One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP sold 170,000 units, Tales of the Abyss sold 150,000 units and Ridge Racer 3D moved 90,000 units.

Overall revenues were up nearly 108 per cent and net profit reached ¥3.25 billion.
