The secret CryEngine 3 Wii U game teased by Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli back in June could be Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.

The upcoming shooter was listed on the ESRB’s website this afternoon as coming to Wii U, alongside the previously announced Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions.

The listing also suggests that the game may launch on PlayStation Vita and Mac.

Back in June, Yerli teased that a CryEngine 3 game was currently in development on Wii U from a “respected developer”.

“My opinion of the Wii U is very high,” he told CVG. “It’s just that we didn’t have a business case unfortunately that justifies us making a game for it.

“It doesn’t mean that CryEngine 3 doesn’t run on Wii U – it actually runs beautifully. In fact, there actually is a game in development from a respected developer that we will be announcing. I’ve seen the game running and it looks really great.”
