The Sims, an EA label, has today announced the first details for MySims Kingdom, the next game in the MySims franchise. The game will launch exclusively on Wii and Nintendo DS this autumn and invites players on an adventure to help King Roland and his subjects revitalise the Kingdom.

The Wii edition sees players helping new and old friends to discover new lands and build to the limit of their imagination. The game begins in The Capital where players meet an initial cast of characters including King Roland, Princess Butter, and companions Buddy and Lyndsay, before they venture onwards.

The adventure will see players meeting new characters, lands and clever new contraptions. In addition to constructing, players will find themselves doing all kinds of activities such as tending to pigs and finding treasure chests. Keeping to what made the first MySims title so fun for younger gamers, customisation options will be plentiful, enabling every creation in the player’s world to have a signature look.

“MySims has been met with such enthusiasm by players and families everywhere, we are excited to make MySims its own franchise within The Sims Label,” said Rod Humble, Head of Studio for The Sims Label. “MySims Kingdom has players helping King Roland and his subjects make the MySims world a better place by completing rewarding quests, building houses, bridges or even making contraptions powered by electricity or water.”

In MySims Kingdom on Nintendo DS players embark on a new chapter to the saga and must help the King thwart plans of evil in a far corner of the Kingdom. Expect a host of new activities and mini-games too, including kayaking, ski jumping, populating the town zoo and many others.

The first MySims title launched in September 2007 and achieved great commercial success. To date the franchise has sold 2.8 million units worldwide.

MySims Kingdom is scheduled for release this autumn across North America, Europe and Asia.
