Pathea Games has announced that My Time at Sandrock will finally launch into Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store in late May.

The game is the follow-up to the 2018 adventure-cross-farming-life sim My Time at Portia. Players will arrive in the all-new city of Sandrock and once again take on the role of the city’s Builder. It’s your job to revitalise the region, transforming it from post-apocalyptic waste town to bustling metropolis.

You’ll do this by levelling up the skills of your character however you want, to suit your playstyle. Maybe you’ll focus on growing and cultivating a farm, collecting crops from far and wide to sell on. Or maybe you’ll be a social butterfly, convincing people to relocate to the city and helping them with requests. Maybe you’ll make your fortune by treasure hunting, exploring dungeons and fighting weird creatures. It’s up to you.

There’ll be plenty of jobs to take on, buildings and gadgets to construct and loads more side activities to do than the original game. These will all help towards raising your Builder Rank and unlocking more complex commissions and helping you overhaul the town. There’s over 30 NPCs to meet, assist, discover their backstories or even romance.

The sequel was first announced back in October of 2020 and raised five times its initial funding goal on Kickstarter. The team had hoped to kick off early access in March of last year, but that was delayed due to difficulties obtaining a local rating certification for the team to be able to publish the game online. A console version is also in the works, although it’s currently unknown when that will land.

My Time at Sandrock will arrive in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store on May 26.
