THQ has announced the first wave of DLC to be offered as part of the MX vs. ATV Alive digital strategy.

James Stewart’s personal motocross compound has been re-created and will be offered as a free digital download to consumers who buy a new copy of the game at launch.

“Working with James Stewart and the team at Red Bull who made this project possible has been an amazing experience, and we look forward to collaborating closely with them again,” said Michael Lustenberger, THQ vice president of Global Brand Management, Online/Digital Games. “The digital replica of James Stewart’s personal playground will only be offered for free to consumers who purchase a new copy of the game at launch, so fans are encouraged to pre-order their copy of MX vs. ATV Alive now.”

Following the game’s release THQ will initiate a digital distribution plan, delivering consistent downloadable content, including branded vehicles, helmets, goggles, graphic kits, new tracks and an authentic Supercross mode.

MX vs. ATV Alive is scheduled for release in May for Xbox 360 and PS3.
