Kid Icarus: Uprising, the first game to be extensively shown for the Nintendo 3DS, could feature online multiplayer game modes, Project Sora director of software development Masahiro Sakurai has told GamesMaster magazine.
“The online capabilities are currently being tested,” said Sakurai. “There could be some versus play but we can’t go into any detail. There are a lot of capabilities that expand on what was in the DS that people are taking advantage of.”
Given the shooter-style gameplay seen in the game’s reveal trailer, some form of aerial-based competitive multiplayer gaming could work well.
