Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, has revealed a slew of impressive Xbox LIVE percentage increases, including the almost tripling of XBLA sales in the first week of the launch of the New Xbox Experience.

According to the Major, in the past year the daily number of unique visitors to Xbox LIVE has risen by 66 per cent.

Since the release of NXE on November 19, the number of new friends added per Xbox LIVE member has risen by 33 per cent. Avatar-specific titles like A Kingdom for Keflings registered the second-best first week of performance ever, and UNO, which was updated to include in-game Avatars, saw a 650% increase in sales in just one day.

Xbox LIVE is considered one of Microsoft’s Xbox successes, a service the company currently claims has over 14 million members worldwide. In mid-November Microsoft revamped the Xbox 360 with the New Xbox Experience, which introduced Wii-like Avatars and a new and improved dashboard.
