The New Xbox Experience will not be released tomorrow, Microsoft has confirmed.

In a post over at his website, Xbox EMEA community manager Graeme ‘AceyBongos’ Boyd confirmed that Microsoft’s hotly anticipated dashboard update won’t be available to gamers tomorrow, despite the fact that Xbox LIVE is down for maintenance all day today (to 8am UK time tomorrow).

The New Xbox Experience promises to introduce an all-new user interface for the Xbox 360, plus a string of new features including customisable avatars and the ability to install games to an Xbox 360 hard drive.

Boyd said: “Just to reiterate – NXE is NOT coming tomorrow – but this LIVE downtime is paving the way for its arrival later this year. More details on exactly when it’s coming will follow.”

So there you have it. The NXE won’t be coming tomorrow, if there was any doubt. However, last week we brought you the news of an ad for MTV Games’ Rock Band 2, available on the Xbox LIVE Dashboard, which told users to “Check out the New Xbox Experience in November”.
